These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the LunchClub iOS application and website at mdkt.dev/lunchclub (collectively, "the Service"), operated by Madaket Labs ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using LunchClub you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use LunchClub. By using the Service you represent that you are 13 or older. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use LunchClub.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account
- You may not share your account or allow others to access it on your behalf
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access at hello@mdkt.dev
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use LunchClub to:
- Post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or obscene
- Post content that infringes any intellectual property or privacy rights of others
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Spam, send unsolicited messages, or engage in any behaviour intended to disrupt other users
- Post content of a sexual nature involving minors
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service without our written permission
- Use the Service for commercial advertising without our written permission
4. Content you post
Ownership: You retain ownership of the content you post on LunchClub (photos, captions, etc.).
Licence to us: By posting content, you grant Madaket Labs a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.
Your responsibility: You are solely responsible for the content you post. We do not pre-screen content, but we reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or that we deem inappropriate, at our sole discretion and without notice.
5. Followers, following, and privacy
LunchClub uses a followers/following model:
- Public accounts: Anyone can follow you without approval. Your posts are visible to all followers.
- Private accounts: Follow requests must be approved before the requester can see your posts. You can approve or decline any request.
- Mutual follows: When two users follow each other, they become mutual connections and appear in each other's Friends feed.
- You can remove a follower or block any user at any time from their profile.
6. Intellectual property
The LunchClub name, logo, and all original content created by Madaket Labs (including UI design, copy, and graphics) are the intellectual property of Madaket Labs and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without our prior written consent.
7. Disclaimers
LunchClub is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Food content on LunchClub is user-generated — we make no representations about the accuracy, safety, or nutritional information of any food shown.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Madaket Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed AUD $100.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to LunchClub at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete Account. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or email. Continued use of LunchClub after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia.
